Spokane, WA – The way you pay for parking in Spokane will look different the next time you head to a concert or a game. The city has recently introduced new parking kiosks on the North Bank, replacing outdated parking meters that have been in place for decades.
The new kiosks are located on all blocks in the North Bank area that require payment, including spots near popular venues such as the Spokane Arena, Spokane Civic Theatre, The Podium, and One Spokane Stadium. These kiosks are also available for visitors parking near businesses in the area.
The old parking meters, which date back to the 1980s, have been replaced with solar-powered kiosks that take up less space and offer more payment options for customers. Spokane’s Director of Code Enforcement and Parking Services, Luis Garcia, highlighted the increased convenience of the new system, noting that users can now pay using credit cards and touchless options in addition to the previous coin and mobile app methods…
