Suspect arrested after intentionally setting Spokane Valley house fire, blaze spreads to multiple properties

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Spokane County deputies arrested a suspect who allegedly set fire to a Spokane Valley home, causing the blaze to spread to nearby properties.

According to a spokesperson from the Spokane Valley Fire Department, the call came in around 3 a.m. Saturday for a house fire in the area of East 4th Avenue. Firefighters said the fire was intentionally set by a person in the home, causing the structure to become engulfed in flames. The fire then spread to multiple properties in the area, prompting a second alarm.
