SPOKANE, Wash. – The Washington Trust for Historic Preservation, along with the City of Spokane, announced that 27 activation grants, totaling more than $75,000, have been awarded to support projects in Spokane’s Garland, Hillyard, North Monroe, and South Perry business districts.
The grants, funded by the federal American Rescue Plan Act, aim to enhance the appearance, functionality, and placemaking of these districts. Josh Cleveland, Neighborhoods Liaison with the Washington Trust, emphasized the importance of quick and visible improvements.
