SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown ordered that all flags at city facilities be lowered to half-staff Friday, in remembrance of former Speaker of the House and State Representative Frank Chopp. This action follows a directive from Governor Bob Ferguson.
“Frank Chopp was Washington’s longest-serving Speaker of the House and my longtime friend and colleague,” Mayor Brown said. “He was passionate about housing and healthcare, and he will be greatly missed.”
