SPOKANE, Wash. — On Monday, Spokane City Councilmembers Paul Dillon and Lili Navarrete announced a new “public dollars for public benefit ordinance” that aims to create a community workforce agreement to support local laborers.
The community workforce agreement would support long-term labor stability and focus on building up the local workforce for construction jobs by prioritizing hiring Spokane workers for city contracts.
