Study finds ‘alarming’ PFAS pollution from biosolids in Spokane River watershed

SPOKANE, Wash. — A new nationwide study by Waterkeeper Alliance revealed an “alarming” level of PFAS contamination in American waterways, including the Spokane River.

According to the report released Thursday, 98% of waterways tested across the country contained harmful levels of toxic PFAS chemicals, often far exceeding health-based safety standards.
