Stay safe during Hoopfest with these heat stroke prevention tips

SPOKANE, Wash. — If you’re out celebrating Hoopfest this weekend, Spokane County Fire District 10 says to be aware of heat stroke symptoms.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, heat-related illnesses occur when your body overheats and can’t cool down. It can develop if you’re doing intense physical activity, such as playing basketball.
