Burn restrictions issued by Spokane area fire agencies

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Fire Chiefs from the Inland Northwest Fire Chiefs Association have issued a Fire Danger Burn Restriction that went into effect on Monday, June 30.

The Spokane Valley Fire Department said with high temperatures in the forecast, all city fire agencies are aiming to keep communities safe from fire risk by reducing the number of human-caused wildfires.

“As we enter the 2025 wildfire season, your Spokane Valley Fire Department urges everyone to stay alert and practice fire safety while enjoying the outdoors. Continued warm and dry conditions, intensified by low spring rainfall accumulation and a mild winter, have created a heightened risk of wildfires across our region.
