Bomb scare at Spokane Safeway resolved, store reopens

SPOKANE, Wash. – A morning bomb scare at the Safeway on Mission and Hamilton in Spokane temporarily led to evacuations.

Around 7:30 a.m., a person reportedly called the police about a bomb and placed the object in front of the store, Sergeant Honaker said.

Safeway employees acted quickly by contacting the Spokane bomb squad. Honaker told NonStop Local police evacuated the store after assessing the situation…
