Spokane County enforces burn ban; pet safety tips for July 4th

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – Spokane County Parks, Recreation and Golf announced burn restrictions due to the dry and breezy weather. The restrictions, effective immediately, prohibit outdoor burning and charcoal briquet BBQs in all unincorporated Spokane County Parks.

Parks Director Doug Chase emphasized the importance of these measures. β€œThe increased risk of wildfires necessitates these restrictions to ensure public safety,” he said. Violators may face misdemeanor charges if they fail to extinguish fires when notified.
