Fire departments prepare for busy Fourth of July weekend as firework sales begin

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – Firework stands are popping up as the Fourth of July approaches, and fire departments are preparing for one of their busiest times of the year.

Stevens County fire crews already responded to two suspected firework-related fires Wednesday night.
