Suspect with multiple warrants arrested after bike chase in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. – A suspect with a history of felony and misdemeanor charges was arrested by Spokane County and Spokane Valley deputies after a bike chase on July 15.

Deputies initially encountered John R. Cravens, 46, during a traffic stop on July 14. Cravens, who reportedly provided a false identity, was issued a criminal citation for possession of a controlled substance. However, deputies suspected he was involved in additional crimes.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) stated that investigators later confirmed Cravens’ true identity. They discovered he was a convicted felon with previous arrests for property crimes and theft in Washington and Idaho.
