Spokane Native Nearly Pulls Off Upset as Late Addition to WNBA Three Point Contest

On the morning of July 18, just a few hours before the WNBA All-Star three point contest, it was announced Spokane native and Indiana Fever guard Lexie Hull would replace her teammate Caitlin Clark in the event.

Hull wasn’t just chosen to give Fever fans someone to root for after Clark’s unfortunate absence, she’s a lights out three point shooter who is hitting 46.8% of her threes this year while averaging a career-high 7.6 points and 4.7 rebounds.

Hull started slow in the event, but made eight of her last ten shots and finished with 20 points – not quite enough to advance to the final round between Sabrina Ionescu and Allisha Gray, who each scored 25 in the first round…
