SPOKANE VALLEY, WA – A 15-year-old girl was arrested on multiple charges Tuesday evening after allegedly threatening a man with a knife, assaulting him, and later damaging a wall at the Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center.
Spokane Valley Deputies responded around 7:10 p.m. on July 23 to a reported assault involving a weapon near the 2400 block of N. Discovery Place. Callers described a fight involving several intoxicated teenagers along the Spokane River.
Upon arrival, deputies found an adult male with visible injuries and the 15-year-old suspect, both showing signs of alcohol intoxication. The victim reported that after a verbal dispute involving a personal item—a tumbler given to him by a deceased family member—the suspect allegedly brandished a 12-inch knife and threatened to stab him. Although others separated the two initially, the suspect later grabbed the man by the hair, slammed his head onto a rock, and reportedly punched him approximately 25 times.
