Spokane, Washington – Residents across Spokane and much of eastern Washington are facing an extended period of dangerously hot weather, with afternoon temperatures soaring into the upper 90s and little overnight relief expected through Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service, highs in Spokane will reach 97°F by Tuesday and spike to 98°F on Wednesday. The area will see mostly sunny skies and dry conditions, with overnight lows struggling to fall below the mid-60s. Southwest winds between 6–10 mph will offer limited cooling, increasing the risk of heat exhaustion and rapidly drying grasslands.
Hot, dry weather stretches from Spokane southward through Cheney and eastward into Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Outdoor workers, older adults, and young children are most at risk.
