Spokane doesn’t have a dedicated arts district like some other cities, but we do have quite the thriving art scene chock full of galleries with revolving exhibits featuring local and national artists alike. The regional galleries, including several in North Idaho, listed below received the most votes in our poll of readers for the Inlander‘s annual Best of the Inland Northwest issue.
TERRAIN GALLERY
Local arts juggernaut Terrain seemingly does it all. With co-founder Ginger Ewing and operations director Jackie Caro at the helm, the nonprofit helps artists reach wider audiences through its flagship event each October, its two annual art markets, and via its From Here storefront in River Park Square downtown. In 2017, Terrain opened a small gallery space in the Washington Cracker Building, but moved to the gallery’s to its current home on North Monroe Street in 2022.
