SPOKANE, Wash. — Scammers are constantly evolving and looking for new ways to target potential victims. One near victim of a brazen case of apparent identity and title theft is sharing his story in hopes of spreading awareness. He believes it’s a crime every property owner should know about.
“You don’t think someone could steal a house with a foundation, it’s not like that’s easy to do..but really it is if they go after the title,” he said. “I don’t want to see that happen to other people.”
