Spokane County man charged after Liberty Lake high-speed chase, crash

LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. – A Spokane County man has been charged after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase in Liberty Lake that ended in a crash.

According to charging documents, an officer on patrol on Aug. 16 observed a car traveling 40 to 45 mph in a 30 mph zone near East Country Vista Drive and North Molter Road. The officer reported the car also failed to signal a turn.

Court docs said that when the officer attempted to follow, radar indicated the vehicle was traveling 65 mph, the affidavit said. The driver allegedly swerved into oncoming lanes before crashing into a wooded area near South MacKenzie Beach Lane and East Lakeside Road…
