ELK, Wash. — The Gray and Oregon Road fires devastated Spokane County two years ago, burning hundreds of homes and thousands of acres. Two people died in the flames.
Now, the healing from those fires continues. On Saturday, community members rolled up their sleeves to rebuild in the areas around Elk still feeling the impact of the Oregon Road fire.
