Meridian man arrested in child exploitation case

BOISE, Idaho – Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador announced the arrest of a Meridian man accused of possessing child sexual exploitation material.

Investigators with the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit arrested 30-year-old Austin Sypert on Tuesday, Oct. 8, for three counts of possession of sexually exploitative material.

“My ICAC Unit is making more arrests than ever before, and we will not stop pursuing those who harm children,” Labrador said. “I’m grateful for our law enforcement partners who share our commitment to protecting Idaho families.”…
