REARDAN, WA — A fatal collision involving a garbage truck closed both directions of U.S. Highway 2 Friday morning about four miles east of Reardan, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Troopers were called to the scene around 10:27 a.m. for a one-vehicle, head-on crash involving a commercial garbage truck. The highway was fully blocked as Spokane County Fire and WSDOT crews responded.
Traffic was detoured westbound via Stroup Road and eastbound via Carstens Road. The reopening time remains unknown…
