Spokane County voters urged to mail ballots early due to USPS changes

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – Spokane County Auditor Vicky Dalton is advising voters to mail their ballots early due to recent changes in U.S. Postal Service operations.

The USPS has shifted to once-daily mail pickups at many post offices, which could impact ballot postmarking.

“While Washington State law allows ballots to be counted if they are postmarked by Election Day, delays in postmarking could result in ballots being rejected,” Dalton said…
