Families to share stories about fentanyl impacts at Spokane’s SAFE documentary event

SPOKANE, Wash. — Tracy Richmond has seen the struggles of addiction firsthand. Her younger sister Kristin died of fentanyl poisoning four years ago after a decade-long substance abuse battle. That’s an experience that stays fresh in her mind, she said.

“I can relive it every day in my head and just how vivid it was, calling the medical examiner’s office, tracking her down, identifying her through her tattoos, and then having to go up and tell my parents,” Richmond said.
