SPOKANE, Wash. — A Spokane nonprofit plans to build a low-income housing community specifically designed to help domestic violence survivors escape abusive situations and rebuild their lives.
Mujeres in Action announced plans for “Casa Mia,” a 13-townhome complex that will provide safe housing for singles and families with children who have experienced domestic violence. The organization already owns land in the Shiloh Hills neighborhood where the development will be constructed.
