Spokane’s Best Thai Food

There’s always been something comforting about Thai food. Maybe it’s the hearty noodle and curry dishes that warm your body and fill your belly, or perhaps it’s the attention to detail in just about every Thai restaurant. Either way, these eight restaurants, which received the most votes in the Inlander’s annual Best of the Inland Northwest Readers Poll, offer the region’s best Thai food.

KUNI’S THAI CUISINE

VOTED BEST THAI FOOD OF 2025

Thailand’s nickname as the “land of smiles” rings true at Kuni’s Thai Cuisine, which has been voted the region’s best Thai food repeatedly. Owner Yukonthorn “Kuni” Pratanporntrakul Colliton was born in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and moved to the states to get an MBA at Gonzaga University. Though she had a successful career in the information technology field, food was always her passion. Unlike some more traditional Thai restaurants, the North Spokane restaurant’s menu also has Chinese, Indian and Mediterranean cuisine. Try a refreshing Tom Kha soup, a tangy dish of sweet and sour chicken or a filling heaping of the pineapple fried rice.

THAI BAMBOO

Since owners Tom and Matavee “May” Burgess opened Thai Bamboo in 2001, Inlander readers have looked to the restaurant for a top-tier Thai experience. Surpassing 10 first-place titles in our annual reader’s poll, Thai Bamboo now has three locations across the Inland Northwest. Between the atmosphere — each location features decadent décor in the form of statues, tapestries and other art bought in Thailand by its owners; the twinkling ceiling at the flagship North Spokane location is an attraction by itself — and the expansive menu created by head chef Matavee, a native of southern Thailand, it’s clear why so many locals get their fill of Thai cuisine here…
