With the recent end of seasonal restrictions on outdoor burning, residents are reminded to follow safety and legal rules for recreational fires. Fires must be small, no larger than three feet in diameter and two feet in height. Only approved fuels are allowed, such as charcoal, natural gas, propane, manufactured logs, or clean, dry firewood. Burning trash, paper, or natural vegetation is not allowed.
Recreational fires must be at least 25 feet from any structures or combustible materials. A responsible adult must supervise the fire at all times and make sure it is fully out before leaving.
