SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Folklore Society’s Fall Folk Fest is taking place this weekend, offering a vibrant celebration of traditional and ethnic dance, music, workshops and jam sessions. The event is held at Spokane Community College and features eight stages of performances.
According to festival organizers, the event is designed to support regional folk musicians, showcasing artists who are hidden gems worth discovering. About 100 groups will represent a range of musical traditions, including bluegrass, Celtic, African and Middle Eastern folk.
