SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Neighborhood Action Partners (SNAP) announced Wednesday that it has relaunched “Cuisine for Clients,” a community-powered initiative that aims to support local restaurants in providing meals for families and seniors who are facing food insecurity.
Originally launched during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cuisine for Clients was created to support small businesses and help local families. With rising food costs, SNAP is bringing the effort back to meet the growing needs of the community.
“During the pandemic, we saw how Cuisine for Clients brought people together around a shared purpose,” said Tanya Gibson, SNAP’s acting director of community food security. “It allowed us to invest directly in local restaurants while getting wholesome meals into the hands of neighbors who needed them most.”…
