SPOKANE, Wash. — The City of Spokane and homeowners are dealing with a complex situation involving sewer connections that has been unfolding for nearly 20 years.
According to the City, there are more than 67,000 residential properties currently connected to the sewer system. Approximately 180 properties are not, relying on a septic system. One of those homes belongs to Catherine Donnelly.
“The (family) who lived here before us lived here for 40 years,” she said. “They raised their kids, foster kids here. They had a whole acre.”…
