Washington Winter Weather Advisory: Up to 9 Inches of Snow for Chelan County Through Wednesday

Leavenworth, WA – A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Chelan County and surrounding areas beginning Tuesday morning through Wednesday afternoon, as forecasters warn of snow and light freezing precipitation that could make travel dangerous for Thanksgiving travelers.

According to the National Weather Service in Spokane, snow will develop late Tuesday morning, continuing through Wednesday afternoon. Snowfall totals are expected to reach 2 to 4 inches below 4,000 feet and up to 9 inches in higher elevations, including Stevens Pass and Holden Village. Light freezing rain may also occur at times, producing a thin glaze of ice on bridges and overpasses.
