SPOKANE, Wash. — Recent rain across the region sent a surge of water into the Spokane River. It’s currently running nearly a foot higher than this time last year. With more rain in the forecast water levels could be pushed even higher.
While a rising water level is no mystery, the same can’t be said for the appearance of a bicycle on top of an old train trestle pier in the middle of the river in Peaceful Valley.
For years, a bike has mysteriously appeared on top of one of the piers. Now a second bike is standing on the second pier…
