High Winds Cause Truck Rollover Near Coulee City, Driver Injured

COULEE CITY – A Deer Park man was injured early Wednesday morning after his truck rolled during high winds in Grant County, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Troopers said the crash occurred at approximately 4:40 a.m. on Dec. 17 near the intersection of State Route 155 and U.S. Highway 2, about two miles east of Coulee City. The driver, identified as 58-year-old Scott P. Rogers of Deer Park, was traveling northbound on SR 155 when his vehicle lost control due to high winds and rolled.

Washington State Patrol investigators determined high winds were the cause of the collision. Rogers was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, troopers said. He was injured and transported to Coulee Community Medical Center for treatment…
