Spokane, Washington – Despite historical odds favoring snow on the ground, a white Christmas is not expected in Spokane this year, with rain more likely than snowfall on Christmas Day, according to the National Weather Service.
Based on climate data dating back to 1955, Spokane has had at least 1 inch of snow on the ground on Christmas Day just over 50 percent of the time. Out of 70 years of records, 21 Christmas Days featured more than 3 inches of snow, while 17 years saw 1 to 3 inches.
