Salvation Army still seeking donations for red kettle fundraiser in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Salvation Army is looking for last-minute donations for its red kettle fundraiser, typically its biggest fundraiser of the year.

So far, the Salvation Army says it has raised about the same amount as last year’s fundraiser, but its costs are higher this year.

The Salvation Army Food Bank served more people during the government shutdown than it has in previous years. It hopes to bring in more funding to stock the shelves again…
