Spokane city council to vote on vacating section of 13th Ave.

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane City Council is set to vote on an ordinance to vacate a small section of 13th avenue in the Vinegar Flats neighborhood along Hangman Creek.

The city water department operates a booster station at the intersection of 13th and Inland Empire Way.  The station needs to be expanded to pump more water to higher elevations such as the South Hill.

The Development Services Center says there isn’t enough room on the land currently housing the booster station. Vacating the road would allow for the expansion…
