Hit-and-run damages Spokane Valley’s “Indomitable Spirit” statue, driver flees

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – The “Indomitable Spirit” statue at the University Trailhead in Spokane Valley has been sheared off following a hit-and-run incident, the city announced.

According to Jill Smith, Communications Manager for the City of Spokane Valley, a vehicle struck the statue and the driver fled the scene on foot, leaving the vehicle behind.

The damaged statue has since been removed. The Spokane Valley Police Department is currently investigating the matter…
