Domestic violence incident prompts police standoff in Spokane Valley

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – A heavy police presence has been observed in the 1300 block of South Bettman Road.

Corporal Mark Gregory from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) stated that authorities initially responded to a domestic violence incident some time after 6 p.m. on Saturday night. A male suspect “in crisis” is currently believed to be inside a building in the area.

Deputies have made attempts to contact the male suspect, but he is reportedly not communicating. Corporal Gregory noted that the suspect has access to weapons…
