SPOKANE, Wash — The snowstorm on Tuesday ended up being a bit of a bust for Spokane, but not so much in the mountains of Washington and Idaho.
According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), Snoqualmie Pass opened back up on Tuesday after the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 closed because of several crashes. However, conditions did not improve much since chains were required in both directions except for vehicles with all wheel drive.
The snow also hit Stevens Pass hard on Tuesday. WSDOT reported the snowy weather forced the contractor working to repair US-2 after last month’s storms to pausing their work. The roads open back up Wednesday at 6 a.m. between Coles Corner and the summit, but there won’t be a pilot car…
