SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A 48-year-old man was arrested Saturday afternoon after deputies responded to a reported burglary in progress at a business in the City of Millwood, according to the Spokane Valley Police Department.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called at about 2:25 p.m. on Jan. 18 to a store in the 9200 block of East Trent Avenue after the business owner reported watching live security footage of a man attempting to break into the building through a window.
A responding sergeant located the suspect, later identified as Lawrence D. Jones, in an alley behind the business and observed damage to the window, including a large hole and broken glass on the ground. When the deputy attempted to contact him, Jones fled on foot…
