SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A 47-time convicted felon was sentenced to almost five years in prison for retail theft on Friday.
A release from the Spokane County Prosecutors’ Office says Shannon B. Morley, 61, was sentenced to 57 months in prison after a jury found him guilty on two counts of 2nd Degree Organized Retail Theft in June 2025.
Court documents show that a theft that happened at a truck stop on Broadway Avenue in Spokane Valley in March 2023 was captured on surveillance video. According to the documents, the video showed a man, later determined to be Morley, using a key to open an electronic cabinet and stealing a nearly $1,000 Garmin GPS device, putting it in his pocket and walking out of the store.
