Moses Lake School District places coach on administrative leave for inappropriate relationships

MOSES LAKE, Wash. – The Moses Lake School District has placed a coach, Peralez, Juan David, who also served as a substitute teacher on administrative leave after an investigation revealed inappropriate relationships with students.

In May 2025, the district received a report about a potential inappropriate relationship involving the employee and a student. The district immediately placed the employee on administrative leave and launched a comprehensive investigation. A third-party investigator was brought in, and the district worked with the Moses Lake Police Department to ensure a thorough review.

The investigation found that the employee had inappropriate relationships with at least three students. As a result, the Moses Lake School District Board of Directors took formal action to discharge the employee this evening…
