GYM CONNECTION: This is to you at Planet Fitness on NW Blvd. I know we made eye contact a few times at the gym on MLK day. I have seen you the few times that I have gone in the evening. We made eye contact as I was on the treadmill, and you ended up going to stair master. I may have seen you look over at me out of the corner of my eye. Sorry, if you were trying to get my attention, but I was trying to stay focused and not fall off the treadmill (I may have done that in the past and would rather not do that again lol). Anywho, you were wearing a pink top and were very toned. I was wearing the black shirt and grey sweatpants. I’m not sure if you are ever going to read this, or if this will be even published, but if it is and you do I just would like you to know that you are killing it in the gym. Also, if you would ever like to chat and get a workout at planet fitness in again, I would be up for it.

A CAUTIOUS CHEER FOR BAUMGARTNER: I am no fan of Mike Baumgartner but am giving him a cautious “Cheer” for speaking out against the ICE killing of Alex Pretti. The videos speak for themselves as it is clear that a man was shot and killed after he tried to help a woman who had been shoved to the ground by agents. Baumgartner called the videos “disturbing.” He also has called congressional hearings in which he will play a role. Hope that the hearings actually investigate fairly and do not turn into a political circus used to justify ICE’s continued violence.
KINDNESS WITH A SIDE OF CHAOS: Cheers to the heroes who belt out hits in traffic like they’re on a world tour, dance in the living room like no one’s judging (but we totally are), and smile at strangers because maybe, just maybe, it saves their day.
