Moose calves spotted in Airway Heights prompt safety warning

AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — Two moose calves have been spotted in Airway Heights, prompting a public safety advisory from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.

The Airway Heights Police Department urged residents and visitors not to approach, bother or harass the animals. The calves were last seen walking west from the dog park behind the Galena Apartments.

The Department of Fish and Wildlife said that it had been monitoring the calves with their mother west of the city in recent days, but her current location is unknown…
