Alleged child predator caught in Hawaii after fleeing Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. – A suspected child predator was apprehended in Hawaii after fleeing Washington state.

According to the Spokane Valley Police Department, on February 6, 2026, the United States Marshals Service, District of Hawaii Task Force, arrested a 57-year-old suspect in Koloa on the island of Kauai. The suspect was wanted on an arrest warrant issued by the Spokane County Superior Court on January 28, 2026. They face charges including three counts of Rape of a Child in the First Degree and two counts of Child Molestation in the First Degree.

Authorities allege the suspect victimized multiple underage children. After learning of the allegations and pending charges, the suspect reportedly fled Washington to avoid arrest. Investigators from the United States Marshals Service Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force, in collaboration with the Spokane Police Department, tracked the suspect and worked with federal partners to prevent their departure from the country…
