Spokane woman pleads guilty to setting ex-wife’s house on fire, killing dog

SPOKANE, Wash. — A Spokane woman who pleaded guilty to setting her ex-wife’s house on fire, stalking her and killing her dog, was sentenced to nearly 3 years in prison.

According to the Spokane County Superior Court, the 38-year-old woman and her ex-wife separated in 2024, and her ex-wife began a new relationship. The woman then harassed and stalked the ex-wife and her new partner by repeatedly driving by her ex-wife’s house and continually contacting her via text and social media.

In November 2024, the woman broke into her ex-wife’s home, entered her bedroom where she kept her dog in a crate, and set the bed on fire. The dog was trapped in the room, which was destroyed by the fire…
