While most of the region is quiet and cold to start Thursday morning, snow showers north of Spokane are bringing some localized heavy snow. These scattered showers will stick around at times throughout the day. Most of them will sit in the northern part of the region.
A line of showers will increase snow coverage briefly throughout the evening. Snowfall amounts will mostly be light with some localized areas receiving heavy enough snow to cover area roadways.
