SPOKANE – A contractor working at Spokane’s Navigation Center decided to give back to the community he’s serving by hosting a barbecue for people experiencing homelessness.
John Coy, who was hired to install laundry facilities at the center, organized the event after witnessing the important work being done at the facility. The Navigation Center provides various services for those experiencing homelessness, and Coy’s addition will make it unique in the region.
“I think this is the only facility in the region where somebody is going to be able to come that’s living on the streets and take a shower and wash their clothes,” Coy said…
