Man who led police on pursuit and allegedly waved gun at drivers facing new charges

Spokane, WASH. — Prosecutors filed new charges against Carl Lindsey, who went before a judge again on Monday.

Lindsey is accused of firing a gun near North Central High School at Maxwell and Howard on Wednesday the 18th around 4 p.m. Court documents state that he stole his girlfriend’s handgun out of her purse and used her truck that day. Detectives say soon after firing shots, Lindsey stopped at a gas station at 1906 N. Ash Street and got out of the truck. Witnesses say they saw Lindsey waving a gun at cars passing by.

Police were able to locate Lindsey’s truck and stopped him near Heritage Funeral Home on Government Way. When officers gave commands, they say Lindsey sped off at up to 80 miles per hour leading to a short police pursuit…
