WA bill to lower legal BAC limit to 0.05% fails in house committee

OLYMPIA, Wash. — SB 5067 would lower the legal blood alcohol limit for drivers from 0.08% to 0.05%, but it won’t happen this year.

After the bill passed the Senate, a spokesperson for the House Community Safety Committee Chair says it didn’t have enough votes to pass out of the committee.
