Hit-and-run driver arrested in Spokane after crashing into 2 cars, fences and power pole

SPOKANE, Wash. – Deputies from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), with assistance from multiple Good Samaritans, arrested a 42-year-old driver after they crashed through a fence, hit two cars and struck a power pole, before fleeing the scene on foot.

The incident occurred on Monday around 10:55 a.m. in the 8000 block of North Regal Street. SCSO officials reported that deputies were alerted to a hit-and-run involving a Toyota Camry. The caller reported that the adult male driver had exited the vehicle and was fleeing the scene on foot through backyards.

Upon arrival, deputies were led by Good Samaritans to the suspect’s location on East Lincoln Road, where authorities detained the suspect and began investigating the incident.

SCSO officials reported that through preliminary investigation efforts, they learned the suspect was traveling east on Lincoln Road toward North Market Street. A witness claimed the suspect was swerving back and forth, before veering off the road and striking two parked cars, crashing through fences and slamming into a power pole…
